With the attendance of a number of teaching staff members of the and some specialists, Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences – Kerbala University has organized a workshop entitled “ Chemical, Bilogical and Radiological Safety and Security “. It aims at introducing the chemical safety requirement to be met in educational laboratories. It also deals with the latest technical ways available so as to increase the awareness of professional safety among workers.
It discusses the risks of using chemicals and biological materials in laboratories and the most important precautionary measures to be taken in case of any accident, ways of dealing with such materials and their effects.
The course has recommended the urgent need for the protective equipment for workers in order to maintain the case and follow the roles of safety in the laboratory.
