Kerbala University Conducts a Workshop about the Modern Methods of Devising Exam Questions
The Veterinary College in Kerbala University conducted a workshop concerning the modern basis for devising exam questions and the various methods of measuring and validating the questions. The workshop also discussed how students’ answers can be evaluated.
The workshop aims to reinforce the skills needed to devise exam questions in accordance with modern techniques and review the most important procedures used in university level evaluation.
The presenter also examined the importance of students’ grades and how we can benefit from such data in the creation of future exams.
Moreover, the workshop discoursed the guidelines for creating exam questions, how they can be cleverly prepared, common mistakes in devising questions, as well as review the most popular theories that are used in the preparation and 
analysis of questions and results, respectively.
Additionally, the speaker discussed the techniques that can be used to validate the exam questions as well as measure how dependable they are in determining the level of the students’ knowledge and understanding.
