University of Kerbala participates in the E-learning Professional Training Program

Based on the innovative method of academic management and human resource development, Kerbala University has participated in the closing ceremony of the E-Learning Professional Training Program, which is held in cooperation between the American IREX Organization, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Ministry of Education Higher education and scientific research in the Kurdistan region and e-learning experts in the ministerial team for e-learning in Iraq, “which lasted for more than a month. There are about 12 professors from different faculties of the University of Kerbala have participated in the program, in addition to 1051 university professors from various governmental and private universities and faculties.
The program aims at developing the capabilities of faculty members in Iraqi universities to apply e-learning in the educational process in the best way.
Dr. Mowaffaq Al-Hasnawi, Director of Continuing Education and Coordinator of the Special Team at Kerbala University, says that the training program includes an intensive curriculum on e-learning management and it has been implemented by Iraqi professional trainers from the ministerial team and American trainers from different universities.
The closing ceremony of the training program has been attended by Dr. Ghassan Hamid, Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Jwan Muhammed Fuad – Director of the Fellowships Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the Kurdistan Regional Government, Mr. John Kincannon – Public Affairs Adviser In the US Embassy in Baghdad, Dr. Lori Mason – IREX Organization, as well as the Ministerial Team for E-Learning in Iraq, The IREX Team in Iraq or America, and the participating trainees from various public and private universities in the center and in the Kurdistan region.
