College of Education for Human Sciences \/ University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled \u201cThe effect of using problem-based learning strategy on achieving and developing cognitive motivation among second-year intermediate students in social studies,\u201d submitted by Hammam Mosadeq Kazar.<\/span>
\nThe study aims at investigating the effect of using the problem-based education strategy on achieving and developing cognitive motivation among second-year intermediate students in social studies.<\/span><\/p>\n

The study uses experimental approach with two equal groups, where research sample is divided into two groups: an experimental group that studied according to problem-based learning strategy, and a control group that studied according to traditional method.<\/span>
\nThe study concludes that using problem-based learning strategy significantly improved students’ achievement in experimental group compared to students in control group, and also has led to development of their cognitive motivation.<\/span><\/p>\n
