Being submitted by Fatima Adnan Hussein, College of Science- University of Kerbala, has discussed the M.A. thesis which is entitled “Genetic Polymorphism of some Biomarkers Physiological Parameters Level and Bectraial Infections and their Association with severity of diabetic foot ulcer”.<\/span>
\nThe study includes examining 100 patients, analyzing demographic factors, isolating and diagnosing causative bacteria, studying genetic polymorphism of MCP-1 and CRP genes, and measuring level of fibrinogen in blood.<\/span>
\nThe study shows that demographic factors has a significant effect, and bacterial species associated with ulcer complications have been diagnosed, and an increase in level of fibrinogen has been observed in patients with ulcers, indicating active inflammation.<\/span>
\nThe thesis recommends conducting additional research on causative bacteria, and the role of genes associated with insulin sensitivity, with a focus on measuring fibrinogen as a tool to monitor development of ulcers and their treatment.<\/span><\/p>\n
