College of Medicine \/ University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled “Evaluation of lipoteichoic acid (LTA) and soluble urokinase-type plasminogen activator Receptor(suPAR) as Biomarkers for detection of Gram-Positive Bacterial Infections”.
\nBeing submitted by Mohammed Sadiq Khalif, the study examines the role of lipoteichoic acid and soluble receptor for urokinase-type plasminogen activator (LPA) as biomarkers for detecting Gram-positive bacterial infections.
\nThe study shows a significant increase in levels of these markers in infected individuals compared to healthy individuals, with highest rates recorded in cases of wound infections and vaginitis.
\nThe results also confirm that these tests achieved a high diagnostic accuracy of over 95%, making them promising tools for improving diagnostic efficiency and guiding therapeutic strategies, especially in light of the increasing threat of antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
\nThe thesis emphasizes the importance of continuing this type of study in the future to clarify clinical implications of findings and develop modern technical testing mechanisms that support public health protection.<\/p>\n
