College of Law \/ University of Kerbala has discussed the Ph.D. dissertation which is entitled “False Electronic Interaction and Its Impact on Commercial Environment”.<\/span>
\nBeing submitted by Qaseem Abdul-Ali Saleh, the study aims at understanding the nature of false electronic interaction, its legal nature, and whether it can be considered misleading advertising or unfair competition. It also determines whether exaggeration, and glorification of a product or service and its use in promotion constitutes an illegal commercial practice or falls under the category of legitimate lying.<\/span>
\nThe study finds out that false online interactions in their various forms constitute an independent concept in commercial environment from those electronic interactions that, although also false, are not related to commercial environment, such as fake news interactions that fall within the political, military, or any other non-commercial aspect. In addition, false online interactions are not limited to one person; the one who is committing false interaction may be social media platforms, or it may be carried out by influential people in commercial environment when promoting a service or product.<\/span><\/p>\n
