In cooperation with College of Law_ Hilla University, College of Law _ Hasanuddin University in Indonesia, and College of Law _ Ilam University in Iran, College of Law, University of Kerbala, holds its first international conference on legal regulation of artificial intelligence applications. The conference includes over 120 local and international research papers that discussed legal and legislative aspects related to artificial intelligence applications and their contemporary challenges.<\/span>
\nPresident of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid, states that College of Law, University of Kerbala is one of the oldest colleges that plays a pivotal role in establishing legal culture and promoting values \u200b\u200bof justice and rule of law in society. He emphasizes that the university’s role is not just limited to transfer knowledge or preparing qualified individuals, rather extends to being an active partner in nation-building, maintaining the legal system, and enhancing societal awareness.<\/span>
\nThe president adds that colleges of law have a great responsibility in preparing generations of conscious legal professionals, judges, lawyers, and administrators capable of protecting constitution, upholding principles of justice, and confronting corruption and violations of public and private rights. This requires a deep understanding of legislation and a precise grasp of spirit and objectives of law.<\/span><\/p>\n

Wajid explains that building a strong state is not achieved through material power alone, but rather rests on rule of law. He notes that such scientific conferences, including this one, represent an important intellectual platform of exchanging visions and experiences, and discussing contemporary legal issues, particularly those related to technological development and artificial intelligence.”<\/span>
\nFor his part, Dr. Ahmed Shakir, Dean of College of Law, University of Kerbala, states that this conference presents a pivotal stage in history of rapid technological development, where artificial intelligence has become one of the most prominent tools of scientific research. This is due to its numerous applications and impacts on scientific, social, and economic levels, as well as its growing role in supporting decision-making, especially in matters related to proving crucial cases.<\/span><\/p>\n
