A research team from the Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Kerbala has managed to record and publish 20 models of gene sequences<\/span>
\nThe team consists of Dr. Yasmine Khudair Khalaf, and the PhD student Radhya Najem Abd.<\/span>
\nThe study aims at identifying new types of genes and the extent of their use in scientific research.<\/span>
\nThe team is able to register new genes related to the PON1 gene, which is considered one of the genes that play an important role in the occurrence of type 2 diabetes as well as heart disease in the database in each of the American Genebank NCBI and the Japanese Genebank DDJB and the European Genebank EMBL during the current year, and these records are kept in a general information database in the above global genebanks.<\/span>
\nThese genes are the first of its kind in Iraq, due to the lack of previous studies confirming the registration of this type of sequence.\"\"<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
