Under the patronage of the President of the University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basem Khalil Al-Saedi and the supervision of the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Thamer Al-Janabi, the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Kerbala holds its fourth international conference under the slogan:<\/span>
\n(With scientific research we guarantee food security)<\/span>
\nThis has been done with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists, in a distinguished academic presence.<\/span>
\nThe conference are also attended by the member of the Parliamentary Education Committee, Prof. Dr. Riyad Al-Masoudi, and the representative of the Governor of Kerbala.<\/span>
\nThe university president, Prof. Dr. Basem Al-Saedi, confirms that Kerbala University works in direct contact with society and employs all capabilities in order to provide solutions that contribute to developing real plans that help progress in all fields, stressing the need to pay attention to the agricultural reality, and according to environmental conditions.<\/span>
\nAl-Saedi stresses the opening of scientific cooperation areas between governmental and educational institutions and their application to practical reality through scientific research, in line with the directions of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.<\/span>
\nThe Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Prof. Dr. Thamer Al-Janabi, explaines that the conference includes 85 papers focusing on all agricultural issues in food science, plant protection, soil science, animal production, horticulture and field crops.<\/span>
\nThe aim of the conference is to shed light on the most important problems facing the agricultural sector and ways of devising to overcome them and finding appropriate solutions to them.<\/span>
\nThe conference also includes a field tour in the corridors of the faculty to view the projects and activities that it had established.<\/span><\/p>\n
