With the participation of a number of researchers and specialists, Faculty of Education for Pure Sciences has held a training course entitled (Ways of Dealing with Fungi in a Laboratory), using the Google Meet programme, <\/span>
\nThe course aims at leaning researchers and professors the basic principles of safety and security and correct methods of dealing with fungi in educational laboratories, spreading the scientific culture of these micro and microscopic organisms and trying to take advantage of their benefits and avoid their harm and prevention.<\/span>
\nThe course shows that fungi have many benefits, including, that feed on dead organic matter which includes leaf litter, soil, dung, wood and dead animals. They recycle 85 percent of the carbon from dead organic matter and release the locked-up nutrients so they can be used by other organisms.<\/span>
\nCertain mushrooms such as Ganoderma lucidum, Agaricus subrufescens and Cordyceps sinensis enjoy usage as therapeutics in traditional medicine.<\/span><\/p>\n
