Department of International Studies at Strategic Studies Center \/: University of Kerbala has organized a training course on \u201cBasic Concepts in Contemporary Strategic and Security Studies,\u201d with participation of a number of security officers in state institutions.<\/span>
\nThe one-month course aims at developing the trainees\u2019 strategic thinking skills and capabilities, as well as develop their research capabilities, and contribute to creating qualified professional staff, who can be given more responsibility to replace the retired leaders.<\/span>
\nThe course, includes training to develop participants\u2019 awareness about contemporary security developments, and to understand the foundations and modern trends on which contemporary strategic and security concepts have been built, and also to benefit from academic human resources skills, experiences, as well as providing more opportunities for trainees to understand the close and strong relationship between practice and theory in the security and strategic field.<\/span>
\nDirector of the Center, Dr. Ahmed Kadhim Al-Yasari, says that this training program has a major role in developing knowledge and skills required by military officers and civil officials, as well as academics and workers in the field of international and diplomatic relations.<\/span><\/p>\n
