Students of faculties of Medicine, Pharmacy and Dentistry – University of Kerbala, in cooperation with Iraqi Human Rights Watch Association, have organized a conference on phenomenon of violence, with participation of representatives from Iraqi parliament, civil society organizations, and academics.<\/span>
\nPresident of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basim Khalil Nile Al-Saedi, says that the university administration encourages such conferences organized by students, since they are the builders of society.<\/span>
\nThe conference, which is under the slogan (Towards Humanity: From Violent to Conscious), sheds light on types of violence, including domestic and educational violence focusing on the role of the media to limit this phenomenon.<\/span>
\nThe conference aims at finding out appropriate solutions to decrees violence in Iraqi society. It recommends the necessity of enacting laws that protect human rights, including the Domestic Violence Law.<\/span><\/p>\n
