Faculty of Law – University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled “Protection of minorities from genocide during a non-international armed conflict: a comparative study “. it has been presented by \u201cSafa Ghaleb Aziz\u201d.<\/span>
\nThe study aims at shedding light on the protection of international humanitarian texts and national laws and texts that protect Iraqi minorities.<\/span>
\nThe thesis deals with the role of the national criminal judiciary and the extent to which it is possible to resort to international justice or not through the application of Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court, of holding the perpetrators of these crimes and violations and monitoring human rights in this regard.<\/span>
\nThe study recommends that international and national texts on minority rights be associated with international, regional or national guarantees.<\/span><\/p>\n
