\nFaculty of Veterinary Medicine \/ University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. thesis which is entitled (bacterial contamination and anti-salmonella sensitivity in slaughtered beef and chicken meat (local and imported) sold in Karbala local markets and some molecular biological studies on bacteria). It is presented by (Sajjad Adnan Khudair) <\/span>
\nThe aim of the thesis is studying rates of contamination of beef and chicken meat and their products with food plants transmitted by Salmonella, and to determine the bacteria’s resistance to various antibiotics through sensitivity testing.<\/span>
\nIt includes conducting a molecular study using polymerase chain reaction (PCR) for rapid isolation and identification of bacteria, and studying the purity (sequencing) and type of specific genetic gene of these bacteria.<\/span>
\nThe thesis also discusses researcher’s findings that salmonella is a serious source of contamination in the food industry, and both fresh and frozen meat can be infected with salmonella.<\/span>
\nIt is found that 5 isolates that underwent detection of the InvA gene by using Rt-Pcr are reported as Salmonella enteric a.<\/span><\/p>\n
