College of Dentistry \/ University of Kerbala has organized a workshop on DNA fingerprinting and forensic evidence. Prof. Dr. Ali Hussein Makki delivers the workshop in presence of a group of employees.<\/span>
\nThe workshop aims at familiarizing participants with the importance of DNA fingerprinting in forensic evidence, in addition to determine its characteristics and the extent of its legitimacy in detecting the perpetrator, and whether there are possibilities for its falsification.<\/span>
\nThe workshop includes providing detailed explanations of DNA and its relationship to forensic evidence, and explaining characteristics that distinguish the DNA fingerprint, which make it superior to many other scientific evidence, such as fingerprints and blood types, especially since it is impossible to falsify it.<\/span>
\nThe workshop recommends the necessity of using fingerprint technology in the areas of identifying people by various security services, because since results are inevitable in identifying the perpetrator, as it is considered decisive evidence in conviction.<\/span><\/p>\n
