College of Medicine, University of Kerbala, has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled “Knowledge, attitudes and practices on diabetes of patients with Diabetes type 2 in Karbala City 2023” was discussed.
The thesis, submitted by (Bashar Khaldoun Ghani Jassim), aims at evaluating knowledge, attitudes and practices related to diabetes among type 2 diabetes patients in Karbala City and assessing factors associated with their knowledge, attitudes and practices.
The thesis shows that most patients have average levels of knowledge, attitudes and practices, and despite relatively sufficient knowledge about diabetes, there is still room for improvement in understanding, commitment and management.
The study stresses the need for continuing education programs and attention to health care so as to enhance patients’ knowledge and attitudes towards disease and its complications, as well as to support commitment to practices.
