Women’s Affairs Department – College of Science – University of Kerbala organized an educational symposium entitled Green Education and Environmental Sustainability.
The symposium, which lectured by Prof. Dr. Luma Majeed Ahmed, aims at showing the concept of green education, according to UNESCO.
The symposium includes a review of green education and its positive impact on environment. It also highlights the importance of increasing green spaces and preparing generations capable of maintaining a sustainable environment.
It is noteworthy that Department of Women’s Affairs -Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research seeks to implement national strategy for Iraqi women within axis of enhancing the role of women in managing risks of climate change and protecting the environment.
