University of Kerbala Organizes a Scientific Symposium on How to Reduce Negative Phenomena in Society

Student Activities Department, University of Kerbala organizes a symposium on how to reduce negative phenomena in society and raise awareness of the importance of reporting cases of blackmail in cooperation with College of Administration and Economics and Karbala Police Command.
President of University of Kerbala Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, states that adolescent group is the most vulnerable to be drawn into deviant behaviour, calling for the necessity for everyone to take their role in confronting various negative phenomena, most notably drugs and electronic blackmail.
Warning students against falling into trap of blackmailers and drug dealers and the need to be careful and cautious of their negative methods, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali urges students to report suspicious activities.
To be attended by vice President for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri, a number of college deans and members of provincial council, dean of College of Administration and Economics, Prof. Dr. Hashim Al-Hussaini, states that the university is constantly seeks to play an active role in preserving society and keeping it away from deviant and alien trends, ideas, appearance and behaviour.
For his part, director of Karbala Crime Control, Brigadier General Alaa Al-Hasnawi, stresses the need to raise social awareness of the importance of combating blackmailers and spreading awareness of the need to report any case of blackmail to be saved from victims.
