Being submitted by Mustafa Mohsin Ne’ma, College of Law – University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. Thesis which is entitled ” Civil Liability for Damage caused by a Robot, a comparative study”.
The study aims at determining adequacy of legal texts addressing civil liability for damages when performing a medical procedure. It also identifies the person responsible for such damages and punishment directed under Iraqi and European legislation.
The thesis concludes that researchers have not yet developed a unified definition of the term “robot” that encompasses all its scientific and technical aspects. The legal and ethical framework for medical robots is still in its development phase, and many aspects related to the use of robots remain unclear.
