Being submitted by Abeer Yassin Nasser – College of Education and Humanities- assesses the Ph.D. dissertation which is entitled (spatial analysis of urban quality of life in Al-Hur District using geographic information systems).
The importance of the study lies in highlighting urban quality of life in Al-Hur District, which is a fundamental issue in studying of modern urban development, as well as improving level of well-being to promote sustainability in cities and communities.
The study concludes that there is a spatial variation in urban quality of life in Al-Hur District, through a number of objective indicators adopted by the study including (urban, service, economic, residential environment), and subjective indicators related to degree of residents’ satisfaction.
