In cooperation with Civil Defense Directorate in Karbala Governorate, University of Kerbala, has organized a training course on civil defense and first aid, with participation of a group of employees.
The course aims at enhancing participants’ awareness of procedures followed if an accident occurs and providing them with basic skills to healthcare facilities.
The course, which is presented by Dr. Hadi Jawad, College of Nursing, and Captain Ali Muhammad from the Karbala Civil Defense Directorate, aims at discussing fire prevention measures, civil defense, fires and their types, and fire extinguishers, in addition to deal with the most common types of injuries and accidents, such as burns, wounds, electric shocks, fractures and their types, suffocation cases, and initial measures that must be taken in field to treat the injured person before transporting him to medical care.
