College of Law , University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled “The Impact of Artificial Intelligence on Trademarks: a comparative study”. Being submitted by Mary Malik Neama, the study aims at identifying the impact of artificial intelligence on trademarks.
It demonstrates absence of a specialized law or legal rules regulating artificial intelligence across all legal systems. However, there are some strategies that regulate artificial intelligence, through which it is possible to find out information related to the impact of artificial intelligence on trademarks. Furthermore, artificial intelligence is present in some commercial transactions, whether in design, registration, or consumer and production processes.
The study ends up with the idea that there is no unified definition of artificial intelligence, although it is not a new term. This is due to large number of fields in which this technology is used. Moreover, artificial intelligence has several characteristics that distinguish it from other devices and machines, the most important of which are independence and awareness.
