University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A Thesis entitled “Standards of Progress and Development in Holy Quran”

College of Islamic Sciences / University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled ” Standards of Progress and Development in Holy Quran – Presentation and Analysis”.
To br submitted by Hassan Emad Jawad Al-Amiri, the thesis highlights Holy Quran’s comprehensive vision of concepts of progress and development, through an analysis of verses that address various aspects of life: religious, cultural, scientific, economic, and political, as essential standards for achieving human advancement and perfection.
The study concentrates on interpreting Quranic verses that refer to scientific, economic, and political progress, linking them to moral and religious values, explaining how Quran establishes a comprehensive balance between material and spiritual aspects in human progress.
The thesis also compares Quranic standards with modern concepts of progress, demonstrating the extent to which Quranic vision is compatible with contemporary development standards. It emphasizes that Quran is not limited to material aspects, but rather provides a moral and spiritual framework necessary for achieving comprehensive and sustainable development.

The thesis concludes that the Holy Quran is a good cultural reference for societies seeking a balanced renaissance, and that adherence to Quranic standards in development planning contributes to build an advanced society that preserves human dignity and achieves moral and human advancement.
