The college of Administration and Economics at University of Kerbala discussed a Master Thesis about the economic representation of foreign direct investment opportunities in Iraq and its role in the development process and means of developing the investment environment for foreign investment in the country by the student Amir Aboud al-Karawi.

The thesis discussed the financing role of foreign direct investment and its contribution to the process of economic development and its direct effects on the host country by absorbing unemployment, adding to the development and diversification of economic sectors, and the contribution of foreign direct investment in the development process and solving the sectoral problems of the local economy by opening employment opportunities and introducing modern methods In the administration and training of national cadres administratively and technically in line with global developments.
The thesis recommended the importance of finding the legislative, economic and security ground to encourage foreign companies to invest in Iraq and to put in place an executive mechanism that will depend on the experiences of the countries that preceded us in this field and non-compliance with what is currently available from the laws and policies and mechanisms because the foundation of economic construction is broad and sound investment and attracting Iraqi capital migrant and secure conditions and supplies necessary for that of which draw a clear strategy for foreign investment to achieve a balance between the investor’s interest and the national interest is determined by which areas of foreign investment enters And how to enter without the door is open to all areas, that is, we do not call for any investments, but that corresponds to the type of development plans and programs required and the Iraqi environment.
