The Faculty of Education for Human Sciences at Kerbala University has discussed the Ph.D. thesis entitled (Image of the Prophet Muhammad (may God bless him and his household) in the Abbasid poetry 132-656 AH).
The thesis, presented by the student Ahmed Bahaa Al-Din Jawad Al-Musawi, aims at tracing back the features of the image of the Holy Prophet Muhammad to Arab poets at the Abbasid era (132-656 AH).
The researcher explains that the images that reflect the unique personality of the Prophet have formed a prominent phenomenon which is expelled in the various stages during which periods of this era passed and it is present at the same time on the level of the products of the states that separated from the body of the Abbasid states in Baghdad.
The study ends up with several conclusions, including that the prophetic image is clearly visible on different levels and in various settings, including the moral image, such as the image of the Messenger and his beauty, the moral image like the image of the tolerant Messenger, his to the secular missionary side. The documentations of the prophetic image rely on the Holy Qur’an and the Pure Sunnah.
