The Faculty of Engineering at Kerbala University has discussed the first electronic discussion at the university entitled (Non-destructive Evaluation of Resistance to Tolerance of Local Soils under Roads using Light Weight Precipitation Measurements).

  The thesis, submitted by M.A. student Rooq Muhammad Abd Ali, aims at showing the possibility of developing the susceptibility of modern methods adopted in the use of dynamic measurements in assessing the durability of the soil layers used in the paving of highways and airports,

  The thesis includes designing the paving of highways and airports, and the impact of the strength of the sub-layer, relying mainly on CBR testing to determine the thickness required for the tiling layers, as it is a test that can be used in the laboratory or field caloric tolerance, as it is one of the experimental methods that are used in determining the soil strength of the natural ground layers frayed gravel and sub-pavement layers on highways and airports.

  The thesis displays that the dynamic coefficient of the LWD test correlates well with the tolerance ratio for different soil types, and the comparison between the dynamic variable and the physical properties showed that the dynamic coefficient is more important than the field density, and that the soil bearing resistance is measured based on its physical and dynamic properties.
