Faculty of Islamic Sciences / University of Kerbala has held a workshop entitled (Phenomenon of Violence, Reading in Cultural Fundamentals).
The workshop, which has been presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Ali Muhammad Yassin and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nablus Salal, deals with several axes related to definition of violence, its types, causes, risks, and ways of reducing it.
They point out that factors of emergence of this phenomenon, are causes that overlap with each other. There are cultural reasons, political factors, and ideological motives, all together with others, that have contributed to the production and generation of the phenomenon of violence. There are cognitive, social and cultural necessities that should be taken into consideration.
