Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences, University of Kerbala has discussed the isolation and identification of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria based on molecular biological techniques.
The study, which is entitled (forensic study of some immunological and bacteriological variables among burn patients) by Haidar Neama Odeh, aims at isolating and diagnosing Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria based on molecular biological techniques for the lasI, lasR, oprI, oprL genes and study the resistance of these bacteria to antibiotics because they constitute the most dangerous Microbial contaminants of burns in hospitals and the forensic significance of interleukin (8) in burn accidents.
The thesis concludes that Pseudomonas aeruginosa is the dominant and most prevalent type among burn patients compared to other Gram-negative bacterial species.
The study recommends that the combination regimen should be achieved due to the combined resistance to multiple factors at the same time, and the use of Piperacillin-Tazobactem instead of piperacillin as the preferred drug to kill bacteria and prevent possible tissue damage caused by pyocyanin secretion.
