Under auspices of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, supervision of President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basim K. Nile, and in cooperation with the two holy Husseiniya and Abbasid secretariats, Faculty of Administration and Economics / University of Kerbala has held its sixteenth scientific conference on economic sciences for the period 14-15/3/2023, and under the slogan
( Iraqi economy between crises and misuse of resources, visions for reform and sustainability).
With participation of academic researchers and specialists from various governmental and private universities and state institutions, and in presence of a high-ranking government and parliament.
The representative of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basim K. Nile, says that the ministry has adopted well-studied scientific plans and programmes that contribute to supplemnt the work environment by providing specialized staff in dealing with all sectors, especially the economic ones, and finding effective solutions to economic problems through holding conferences and publishing practical scientific research in scientific journals so as to enter international rankings to achieve desired leadership and development.
Nile adds that we live in this scientific atmosphere by holding this conference, which is one of the best means of scientific dissemination because of services provided by the conferences that distinguish them from other methods. It is a complete opportunity for all professors, researchers and students to exert their scientific efforts to achieve the highest level of knowledge, stressing that University of Kerbala works according to Ministry’s plans to continue linking higher education with the real needs of community development and service in all fields.
The conferees calls for the necessity of unifying visions, putting touches, reviewing modern technologies, and presenting ideas in solving problems facing the national economy.
For his part, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Muhammad al-Jubouri, states that the conference aims at developing studies and solutions to problems facing Iraqi economy. It also comes up with scientific economic visions through exchanging experiences and cross-fertilization of ideas between researchers, indicating that number of accepted researches is 95 papers that include the five axes of the conference, which are administrative axis, accounting axis , axis of economic , statistical axis and axis of financial and banking sciences.
