Faculty of Science / University of Kerbala has organized a symposium on radioactivity in food and ways to prevent it, with participation of a group of undergraduate students and some specialists .
The course at introduceing radioactive contamination in food and effects resulting from consumption of contaminated food.
The course includes a number of dialogues, including introducing participants to both natural and industrial sources of radiation related to medical and industrial radiation applications, how radioactive materials leak and accumulate on surface of food, and identify factors on which harmful effects of radioactive materials depend.
The symposium also introduces constitutional articles that stipulated right to public health and environmental protection.
