Dr. Hassan Faisal Neama, a lecturer at Faculty of Science / University of Kerbala, has obtained a patent from Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control within a joint research team that includes Prof. Dr. Hadi Muhammad Abboud / Baghdad and Dr. Hani Khalil Ismail / Koya University, Faculty of Science and Health, which is entitled (Glossy Electroplating for Zinc Alloys). Nickel on copper from ionic liquids.
The patent aims at identifying the possibility of using electroplating on zinc-nickel alloys on copper from ionic liquids.
The patent includes preparation and manufacture of coating material and the most important areas that can be used in electro-shiny coating process.
The patent is used in field of industry and paints cars, planes and modern electrical appliances, due to its resistance to corrosion and rust.
The material used in the coating is characterized by its low cost compared to other materials.
