The Faculty of Science at the University of Kerbala holds a virtual course using the ZOOM application under the title of “using the Top Spin programme” to treat NMR spectra with the participation of more than 90 teachers from various universities in Iraq.
The course aims at introducing researchers to the basics of NMR spectroscopy, as well as familiarizing the researchers with the models of nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy of hydrogen, carbon and fluorine elements. It also aims at training researchers to use the Top Spin application to address and interpret spectra of their research.
The course sheds light on the basics of the NMR spectrum and an applied example of NMR spectra containing prepared fluorine.
It includes a detailed explanation of the application of the Top Spin program, supported by the German company Bruker, used to process NMR data and spectra of chemical compounds.
