Discussing an M.A. Thesis at Kerbala University entitled “The Role of Smart Maintenance in Improving Industrial Performance through Knowledge Management Processes”

The Faculty of Administration and Economics at the University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. thesis entitled “The Role of Smart Maintenance in Improving Industrial Performance through Knowledge Management Processes: An Analytical Study of the Workers’ Opinions in company Ibn Majid Heavy Engineering Industries”
The thesis, presented by the M.A. student, Basil Jabbar Ajeel, aims at determining the role played by smart maintenance in its dimensions (data-based decision-making, human capital resources, external integration) to improve and enhance industrial performance in its dimensions (profitability, technological progress, non-integrated productivity) . This is through the mediating role of knowledge management in its dimensions (knowledge generation, knowledge storage, knowledge distribution, knowledge application).
The study shows that there is a strong correlation between smart maintenance and industrial performance which reflects the availability of smart maintenance. This indicates the direct reflection of a strong percentage of the emergence of industrial performance in company Ibn Majid Heavy Engineering Industries.
