University of Kerbala Holds a Symposium on Global Experiences in Teaching Methods

College of Education for Humanities, University of Kerbala organizes a scientific seminar on “Global Experiences in Teaching Methods” as part of Sustainable Development Week activities.
Being presented by Dr. Haider Kadhim Al-Birmani, Dr. Hamid Shehab, and Dr. Muthanna Makki Mohammed, the symposium deals with prominent global experiences in teaching methods, particularly those of Finland, Japan, Singapore, the United States, and Austria. It also discusses mechanisms of utilizing these experiences to develop local educational environment and link them to Sustainable Development Goals.
The symposium aims at highlighting best global practices in education and utilizing them in developing teaching methods to improve quality of educational outcomes and achieve requirements of sustainable development.
Psychologically, the symposium explains the impact of chronic stress and excessive cognitive load on educational process, particularly in trauma-affected environments, stressing the importance of adopting flexible educational strategies that take into account psychological and cognitive aspects of students so as to create a supportive and stimulating learning environment.
