Kerbala University Discussing an M.A. Thesis entitled “The Studying the Fixed and Dynamic Properties of Deflection Cases in Bearings of Specified Length”

The College of Engineering at the University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. Thesis entitled (The Studying the Fixed and Dynamic Properties of Deflection Cases in Bearings of Specified Length).

The thesis, submitted by the student Zahraa Abdul Jabbar Ali, aims at solving the problem in most industries of operating systems which contain rotary bearings (axial deviation of the bearing and rotor) which in extreme cases cause the failure of the bearing work due to the seam that occurs at the ends between the bearing and the rotor.

The thesis deals with studying the fixed and dynamic properties of deflection cases in bearings of specified length and the possibility of developing solutions to severe cases of deflection that represent the point of failure of the operating system. This can be done by adjusting the bearing design (bearing) and maintaining sufficient oil in the seam area at the edges and studying the effect of the design adjustment on the static and dynamic properties of the rotating bearings.

The discussion recommendes a study to amend the design on the stability of the system, because of its importance in operating systems and to extend the life of the machine.
