The Faculty of Science at the University of Kerbala discusses the M.A. thesis entitled” preparing the imidazole derivatives compensated stimulated in one container under moderate conditions “. It has been hold online .
The thesis, submitted by the M.A. student Duaa Abd Hilal, aims at comparing the ratio of the product between conducting these interactions using ultrasound radiation and conducting it using escalation in the presence of the new cofactor.
The thesis includes the synthesis of substituted triple imidazole derivatives (4a-n) with excellent product ratios in one container by condensing three compounds of benzyl / benzoin and various aldehydes and ammonium acetate in ethanol using the new catalyst which is also an ionic liquid and a bronsted acid which is effective after using it for several times without any addition and in small quantities in ambient temperature and optimum conditions.
The thesis shows that the simple preparation of the cofactor, the short reaction time, moderate conditions, high product ratio and low cost make this method economically preferred and very suitable for preparing derivatives, 2,4,5-imidazole compensator.
Duaa explains that she has diagnosed the cofactor using the infrared spectroscopy and magnetic nuclear resonance (HNMR), mass spectrum, electronic scanning microscope (SEM), X-ray dispersion energy (EDX) and X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD).
