Area of Interest
My principal research interests lie in the field of civil and environmental engineering. My PhD study focused on investigating the impact of tourism, large events, government policy, and public involvement on environmental aspects management and influence on the environment. I am currently building on the foundation of my PhD to further develop models and tools in conjunction with government bodies and environmental organisations to improve environmental management in developing countries. I have a particular interest in solid waste management and wastewater treatment and management to define the energy values and possibilities of waste recovery to minimize the negative impact of waste on the environment and to develop a reliable waste management system that can be applied in developing countries.
