President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, represented His Excellency Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, in the Eighth International Scientific Conference on Arbaeen Pilgrimage, which is held by Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein in cooperation with the University of Dhi Qar.
The conference attended by a number of deans of colleges and professors of the University of Kerbala, in addition to a group of researchers from local and foreign universities.
Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid says in his speech that Imam Hussein’s revolution is a constitution for life, as it is able to raise dignity and humiliate tyrants’ oppression.
Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid stresses the importance of performing actual duty towards homeland and preserving principles of Husseini message in the university.
He calls for students to draw inspiration from sacrifices of the Prophet’s family, lessons of selflessness, and courage in confronting injustice and corruption and following path of reform that Imam Hussein. He also points out that everyone has a great and significant responsibility to continue on path of Hussein’s immortality.
