The University of Kerbala Opens an Advanced Chemistry Lab

A new chemistry lab was opened in Kerbala University in the College of Sciences for the purpose of elevating scientific research by developing the research capabilities of the researchers.

The president of the university, Prof. Dr. Munir Hamid Al-Saadi, said that the University of Kerbala opened this advanced laboratory in the College of Sciences to develop the scientific capabilities of the researchers. He emphasized that the project aims at reinforcing scientific discoveries as well as introducing pioneering education to the students and researchers. The university president indicated that the university is responsible for constructing innovative educational systems capable of building a modern society that has the capacity to acclimatize with the constant advances in the scientific and research fields.

The dean of the College of Sciences, Dr.Amer Abdulameer, said that this chemistry laboratory is exceptionally innovative as it was equipped with the newest devices that are considered one of a kind in Iraq. He also added that the new laboratory will provide crucial assistance for researchers from inside and outside the university.

Furthermore, the dean said that the college conducted necessary training for the specialized lecturers in the field to safely operate the new instruments. He also explained that the training included the identification of the instruments’ parts, the installation and operation of the operating systems that are included with the various instruments, as well as how to service and maintain the instruments.
