Faculty of Applied Medical Sciences – University of Kerbala has discusses the M.A. thesis which is entitled Studying the Effect of Diabetes 2 Disease and aflatoxin B1on some Biochemical Parameters of Human in Baghdad Province . The thesis, submitted by Alaa Eidan Sarhan, attempts to study effect of type 2 diabetes and aflatoxin B1 on some chemical parameters in humans.
It is concluded that there is a relationship between type 2 diabetes and toxin “Aflatoxin B1”, as it is found that women are more sensitive to the toxin than men.
It is also found that there is a relationship between diabetes and aflatoxin B1.The study found an effect of aflatoxin B1 on TPO enzymes G-s-T Diodanase enzyme, as well as studying the effect of “Aflatoxin B1” on reproductive hormones and effect of “Aflatoxin M1” on prolactin hormone in women.
