Conducting a study on Holy Quran, College of Islamic Sciences, University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled ” Euphemism in Holy Quran: An Interpretive Study”.
The thesis, which has been presented by Ali Fakhri Bash Agha, defines the concept of euphemism in Quranic text and explaining its motives and methods. It is a textual phenomenon employed by Holy Quran.
The thesis consists of four chapters. The first chapter is a theoretical concepts of the study. The second chapter addresses reasons of Use of euphemism in Holy Quran. The third one deals with methods of euphemism in Holy Quran and their interpretive implications. The last chapter investigates scope of Interpretive Implication of euphemism in Holy Quran.
The study highlights the importance of euphemism as a rhetorical tool in Quranic discourse. It concludes that phenomenon of euphemism represents a Quranic strategy for persuasion, influence, and eloquence, transcending aesthetic dimensions to serve missionary and educational purposes, addressing people with diverse cultures, languages, and intellectual horizons.
