Faculty of Administration and Economics – University of Kerbala has discussed the Ph.D. dissertation which is entitled ” Monetary Policy and its Impact on Indicators of Financial Stability through Capital Market Indicators ” it is prepared by Atheer Najah Kamel.
The study includes data extraction, seasonality testing of study variables, correlation and impact testing through statistical programme (SPSS).
The thesis concludes that there is a significant effect of the credit channel on the aggregate index of financial stability and index of market value, there is an effect of exchange rate channel on market value, and that market value directly affects the aggregate index of financial stability. This indicates that there is a strong relationship between basic components of financial system represented by central bank, financial markets and infrastructure of financial system, represented by a set of legal, regulatory and supervisory frameworks.
