University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A Thesis entitled Design High-Performance Multilevel Inverters for an Electric Vehicle Powered by a Hybrid PV-Battery System

Faculty of Engineering / University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled Design High-Performance Multilevel Inverters for an Electric Vehicle Powered by a Hybrid PV-Battery System.
The study aims at improving performance of brushless direct current motor (BLDC) in electric cars using a multi-source system that includes the battery and solar panels.
The thesis, submitted by Nafia’ Mahdi Issa, concludes that advanced control methods using SMC with a multi-level inverter significantly improved torque ripple, reduced harmonics, saved energy, and increased efficiency.
