College of Education for Human Sciences / University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled ” geographical analysis of phenomenon of school dropout among intermediate and secondary school students in Al-Qasim District /Babylon Governorate, submitted by Zainab Shani Abbas.
The importance of the study lies in shedding light on an important age stage in an individual’s life .
The study includes four chapters. The first chapter deals with geographical characteristics of Al-Qasim District. The second chapter reviews reasons leading to phenomenon of dropout in Al-Qasim District. The third one relies on spatial variation of phenomenon of school dropout in Al-Qasim District, and the fourth chapter discusses quantitative relationships related to phenomenon of school dropout and future repercussions of this phenomenon.
The study finds out that phenomenon of school dropout of intermediate and secondary studies is constantly increasing in Al-Qasim District despite its spatial and temporal variation.
