College of Engineering, University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled (Identification of Potential and Existing Operational Problems of Karbala Water Treatment Plant),
To be submitted by (Shahd Majid Salam) , the study aims at evaluating performance of unified Karbala Water Treatment Plant, which provides its services to three areas in the governorate.
The thesis seeks for modeling operational performance of the plant and calibrate it using advanced software based on changing discharge levels.
The study shows that the plant operates at an appropriate level in terms of efficiency and in terms of removing pollutants, as well as quality of treated water.
The study recommends the importance of increasing water productivity by adding a second filter to speed up filtration process in order to provide quantities of water that meet the needs of the Arbaeen visit.
