University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A Thesis entitled “Preparation of TiO3 nanoparticles Doped with nanoparticles and exploring their antibacterial activity”

College of Science/ University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled ” Preparation of TiO3 nanoparticles Doped with nanoparticles and exploring their antibacterial activity”.
Being presented by Muna Hassan Hamza, the study aims at preparing nanostructures of pure titanium dioxide doped with silver at different ratios using hydrothermal technology. It also examines factors affecting dimensions of these nanostructures and testing their antibacterial effectiveness against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
The study shows that adding different ratios of silver contributed to reduce particle size and enhance their biological activity. Silver-doped samples demonstrate significant antibacterial activity. The thesis explains that particle shape and size are directly affected by manufacturing parameters, which impacts their medical and biological effectiveness. The study confirms that these developed nanomaterials could represent a promising alternative in field of combating bacteria, particularly in sensitive medical applications. It recommends further investigation of effect of heat treatment conditions on biological properties and the use of other manufacturing techniques to increase efficiency of materials and enhance their effectiveness in future uses.
