College of Science – University of Kerbala, has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled “Determination of some Heavy metal Concentration and Biochemical Parameters in Workers from Local Electric Generators”.

Being submitted by Rana Abbas Sadiq, the study aims at assessing the extent of danger of these metals, and determining their concentrations and biochemical parameters among workers in this field.
The study concludes that workers in electric generators are at risk of exposure to heavy metals and oxidative stress, which may lead to various negative health effects.
It recommends the need to improve quality of electric generators, reduce their effects and using renewable energy sources as an alternative.
