University of Kerbala Discussing an M.A. Thesis on ” Evaluation Role of L-Carnitine against Acute hepatotoxicity after Cytarabine Chemotherapy in Male Rats “

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine – University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A thesis which is entitled (Evaluation Role of L-Carnitine against Acute hepatotoxicity after Cytarabine Chemotherapy in Male Rats). It is presented by Marwa Sabah Majeed.
The thesis aims at knowing how to treat the effects of liver toxicity due to the excessive use of cytarabine, such as high fat content, by using L-carnitin.
The thesis deals with measuring liver enzymes, antioxidants and MDA after exposing rats to an excessive dose of straben, measuring them after administration of L-carnitine, and studying the best dose to reduce liver toxicity after treatment with straben.
The thesis also concludes the results that the used dose of 300 mg/kg/BW of L-carnitine is the best to reduce the toxic effects of the liver after treatment with straben.
