Faculty of Nursing/ University of Kerbala has discussed the M.A. thesis which is entitled ” Impact of Anxiety and Depression Illnesses upon Quality of Patients’ Life in Holy Karbala City” . It is prepared by Ali Sabri Nasser Hussein.
The study aims at understanding the impact of anxiety and depression disorders on quality of life of patients in the holy city of Karbala, and comparing it on the quality of life.
The results shows that level of quality of life is unacceptable for anxiety group, where the level of quality of life is equal to 44.04 and less than it is for the depression group, which is equal to 35.47.
The study concludes that anxiety, depression, and quality of life are affected by demographic factors, and this effect varies according to the disorder.
The study recommends finding effective solutions to reduce anxiety and depression in patients to improve the quality of life, such as activating a new technology for communication, following up patients, and activating group therapy.
